One of the problems running scandisk is that if it finds FAT chains or MFT records without any corresponding files, it creates its own set of files, typically in the format File0001.chk file0002.chk etc in the folder named FOUND.
When there are only a few files it is possible to guess what they are and rename the extension accordingly, however when there are several hundred or thousands
of these files the task becomes a nighmare. Our software can help you as it reads each file and determines its file type . This software is able to rename the files i.e. File0001.xls, File0002.doc etc so that you can quickly look at the files and use them.
